28 Degrees Taurus: Mirror & Gates

28 Degrees Taurus es una banda procedente de Boston formada por Jinsen Liu (guitarras y voces) y Karina Dacosta (bajo y voces). Curiosamente para la grabación de este disco han trabajado con cuatro baterías distintos, depende de cada canción. Ellos definen su estilo como shoegaze psicodélico y seguramente no les falte razón. Ciertamente recuerdan a muchos grupos de finales de los ochenta y principios de los noventa y ese sonido nos encanta.

Su último trabajo publicado el pasado mes de abril se titula Mirror & Gates y el primer single extraído es el extraordinario Vast Majestic.

En sus letras suele haber alguna referencia astronómica, quizás la más clara sea el tema Galaxies Revisited (Redux). Este es un tema recuperado y remezclado de un anterior trabajo de 2007 titulado Aquarian Love.

Es un grupo del que no tenía ninguna referencia y me ha sorprendido bastante. Tienen varios trabajos editados desde el 2007 que espero resulten igual de interesantes. Ahora es momento de escucharlos.
