El inicio

Desde hace tiempo tengo la necesidad de mostrar y compartir aquellos grupos y músicas que voy encontrando por la red. Quizás este blog te ayude a descubrir algún grupo que nunca escuchaste o a rememorar aquella canción que tenías ya casi olvidada, esta y no otra será la finalidad de cada una de las entradas que vaya publicando.

Inicio el blog con una canción que curiosamente he descubierto recientemente, en aquella época no llegué a escucharla nunca. Se trata del grupo británico Slowdive, que únicamente estuvo activo entre 1989 y 1995. En un principio integraban el grupo Nick Chaplin (bajo), Rachel Goswell (voz y guitarra), Neil Hasltead (voz y guitarra) y Christian Savill (guitarra). En este periodo fueron varios los baterías que nunca duraron demasiado. Llegaron a sacar 3 EPs y 3 álbumes. Cuando Savill y Chaplin abandonaron, el resto del grupo siguió funcionando como Mojave 3.

When the Sun hits pertenece al álbum Souvlaki, publicado en 1993 y es una de las mejores canciones que llegó a grabar, siendo una de las más representativas del estilo shoegaze. Realmente impresionante.
